Een serre geeft je altijd een beetje voorsprong. De voorbije weken waren de nachten nog behoorlijk koud. Dat zorgt er automatisch voor dat je de kat nog wat uit de boom kijkt als het gaat over zaaien in volle grond.
Hoewel rucolazaad koude verdraagt heb ik toch het zekere voor het onzekere genomen en rucola in bakjes voorgezaaid onder het glas van mijn serre.
Elk jaar voorzie ik rucola in de moestuin en de vorige jaren kon ik er steeds op rekenen dat hij zichzelf uitzaaide en in het voorjaar als een ‘raket’ (sla) uit de grond schoot. Dit jaar dus mooi niet. Nog even afwachten en de jonge plantjes kunnen worden uitgeplant.
