Zeven maanden lagen de geënte stammetjes beschut in een uithoek van de tuin te slapen, maar op 1 mei maakte ik ze (hopelijk) wakker met een daglange waterdoop.

Al lijkt het evident ze daarom tussen gelijkgezinden te plaatsen, toch gaat het voor de kijkende en voelende tuinman, niet wezenlijk over het doorbreken van hun sociaal isolement, maar eerder over het aanbieden van gunstige ecologische verbanden.
